Ruth is originally from India. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Physics and Master’s degree in Biophysics from the University of Mumbai. Her previous research focused on using multiomics approaches to study the effects of spaceflight on insulin and estrogen signaling in mice and astronauts. She is now interested in investigating how the time of day influences the effects of low-dose radiation on liver immunometabolism using human liver organoids and immune cell models. Outside the lab, she enjoys painting, serving on the ASGSR student board, and organizing science outreach events as part of the CBIS graduate program association at RPI.
