Rebecca Miceli is a postdoctoral fellow in the Hurley and Dordick Labs. She will be studying the circadian rhythm of macrophages and keratinocytes in a co-culture system. Becca earned her Chemistry PhD from Rensselaer in August 2023, where she studied the molecular engineering of biosurfactants for enhanced biological activities against breast cancer. She recently completed a one-year postdoctoral fellowship in the department of pathology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where she studied extracellular vesicles and their cargoes for prostate cancer and Alzheimer’s disease detection using liquid-biopsy approaches. At Wheaton College (MA), Becca earned her bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and public health. In the future, Becca would like to combine her expertise in drug discovery, human biology, and bioinformatics to make an impact on the future of personalized and translational human medicine. In her free time, Becca enjoys running, hiking, and tiring out her high energy puppy.
