Brycelyn

Originally from Arizona, Brycelyn Whitman graduated from Arizona State University in 2022 with a degree in Biomedical Engineering and a minor in Mathematics. Her undergraduate research involved confirming knockout cell lines in human embryonic stem cells using Western blotting, with lines generated through a base-editing technique called BIG-TREE. She currently works on developing a human liver microphysiological system (liver-on-a-chip) using stem cell-derived liver organoids to study how spaceflight conditions affect liver function and health. Outside of the lab, Brycelyn enjoys traveling, exploring the outdoors, and trying new restaurants.
